GASTRIC BALLOON

Intragastric balloons are fluid or gas-filled balloons that promote weight loss by occupying space in the stomach, providing a sensation of fullness and slowing stomach emptying. The balloon remains in place for 6 months before removal, but ongoing follow-up for 6 months more is necessary to ensure long-term results. 

The balloon system is part of a medically supervised program complemented by lifestyle and dietary modifications guided by a registered dietician and other specialists. ENDOSCOPIC SLEEVE GASTROPLASTY

The endoscopic sleeve is created a minimally-invasive procedure using an endoscopic suturing device to narrow the stomach into a sleeve, mimicking the result of a surgical sleeve gastrectomy without the need for surgery or overnight hospitalization.

The endoscopic sleeve is also complemented by a medically supervised program including lifestyle and dietary modifications with the involvement of a registered dietician and other specialists. WEIGHT REGAIN AFTER GASTRIC BYPASS

Many patients who previously underwent gastric bypass surgery will suffer from weight regain years after the initial surgery. This may be a result of stretching of the "outlet" where the stomach pouch is connected to the small bowel. Endoscopic repair and narrowing of this outlet (often known as the Transoral Outlet Reduction or TORe procedure) can be performed using an endoscopic suturing device to re-instate weight loss.
